From Saturday 24 October - Sunday 1 November, the City of Rockingham's signature outdoor sculpture exhibition returns!
Head down to the Rockingham Foreshore to view the sculptures Western Australian artists have made from recycled materials. From coffee pods to mattress springs, see what objects you can spot in these amazing sculptures!

All sculpture are created with recycled materials to highlight the importance of recycling and reducing the amount of materials that end up in landfill.

Castaways comprises three exhibitions: the Main Exhibition on the Rockingham Foreshore, the Schools Exhibition in Churchill Park and the Maquette and Small Sculpture Exhibition located at the Rockingham Arts Centre on Kent Street, a short walk from the foreshore. Sculptures are available for purchase.

There are so many ways to get involved in this year's Sculpture Competition, including:
- Voting: Your chance to win the $500 Fremantle Ports Voter’s Prize in this year’s Castaways Sculpture Exhibition by simply voting for your favourite Castaways sculpture!

- Instagram photo competition: Snap a photo of your favourite sculpture at the 2020 Castaways Sculpture Exhibition and share it to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag Castaways Rockingham and you could win a $100 voucher!

- Artist talks: Guest Artist, Gordon Mitchell, will be joined by participating Castaways artists for a series of short talks. If you’re interested in knowing more about what goes on behind-the-scenes in an artist’s studio, these tours are for you!

- Tactile tours: People with disability, along with their friends, family and carers, are invited to attend a Tactile Tour of the 2020 Castaways Sculpture Exhibition! Visit the City of Rockingham website for information on how to book.

- Beach access matting/wheelchairs: Beach access matting is available to help people view the sculptures on the sand. This is perfect for people with disability, seniors, and parents using prams. Beach wheelchairs and beach walkers are also available for people to loan free of charge. Visit the City of Rockingham website for more information.

- Maquette and Small Sculpture exhibition: Proudly sponsored by the Waste Authority, it features small, unique sculptures created with recycled materials, made by Western Australian artists. The exhibition is on now at the Rockingham Arts Centre, 11 Kent Street, Rockingham - open 9am-5pm daily.
