'Pirates of Penzance Jr.' by Primadonna Productions is on at the Pinjarra Civic Centre!

The show has been quite a different undertaking for Primadonna's young performers, and have all worked hard with this unfamiliar genre of entertainment!

Gilbert and Sullivan doesn't tend to make appearances on community theatre stages these days as often as it used to, so this will provide you with a rare opportunity to either re-visit the show you know and love, or discover this rollicking tale for the first time!

"Frederick was accidentally apprenticed to a pirate as a young boy of eight by his hard of hearing nursery maid. He was supposed to be apprenticed to a ship’s pilot (navigator) but ended up with the pirates. When he turns twenty one, he regretfully feels (although he loves them all dearly) that now his apprenticeship is up, he needs to do his duty and rid society of them by exterminating them! But once the pirates discover he was actually born on February 29th, and only has a REAL birthday once every four years, they persuade him he is only five and a little bit over, and they want him back!"

True love, misunderstandings, and lively characters abound in this fun show!
