Aussies dominate the Golden Globe nominations

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie...

The 77th Golden Globe Nominations are out with Netflix’s Marriage Story scoring six nods, including Best Motion Picture. It also scored nominations for stars Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson.

The Irishman, another Netflix drama, came in second with five nominations for actors Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, as well as Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Martin Scorsese, however Robert De Niro was snubbed for his work on the film.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood also landed 5 nominations, including Best Director and Screenwriter, and Brad Pitt scooping up a nom for Best Supporting Actor.

Of course, Joker was nominated for Best Motion Picture, with Joaquin Pheonix also scoring a nod for Best Actor.

And our Aussies have fared quite well, with Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Margot Robbie (Bombshell), Cate Blanchett (Where’d You Go) , Bernadette Toni Collette (Unbelievable) and Russell Crowe (The Loudest Voice) all picking up nominations.

WOO.

Ricky Gervais will host The Golden Globes, which air Jan 5th in Beverly Hills.
