The legacy continues...
Strap yourself in for an emotional ride, as the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has just landed.
It has been four years since the original movie premiered, and as we all know, we lost the legendary Chadwick Boseman, who tragically died from colon cancer in 2020 at the age of 44.
Marvel and the creative team decided against recasting the role and worked hard on a storyline that not only pays tribute to Boseman but ushers in a new era for the Black Panther franchise.
The trailer starts with a powerful rendition of No Woman, No Cry, as the funeral gets underway for the King of Wakanda. With his death, there is a new threat to the hidden city, and the Queen (Angela Bassett) is calling on the surrounding tribes to help save Wakanda's people and their legacy.
There is also a birth (could this be the Black Panther's son?)
Also reprising their roles are Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri - the Black Panther's sister, Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong as Nakia, an undercover spy in service to Wakanda, and Martin Freedman as CIA Agent Everett. K Ross.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is in cinemas 11.11.22.
