Warning: Spoilers ahead
The final season of Game of Thrones is almost upon us (April 14th!!!) and we’re so darn excited!
Here's what we've dissected from this 2-minute glimpse into the Seven Kingdoms.
It starts with a frantic Arya Stark running from something, in what appears to be the halls of Winterfell, with blood on her face, saying, "I know death. He's got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one."
We later see her holding Dragon Glass... the only weapon that can kill a White Walker! YAS
We then cross to Sir Davos, strolling along Winterfell's portcullis, deep in thought.
We also flash to Varys, sitting in a crypt with the women and children, including Gilly and Little Sam.
We only see the back of who we assume is Brienne of Tarth aboard the Greyjoy Fleet. Well, we're pretty sure it's her. That looks like her sword, Oathkeeper in the sheath at her side. Although no sign of Yara or Theon Greyjoy.
Seems like Tormund has survived the Falling of the Wall, as we see him joined by the Brotherhood and Lord Beric Dondarrion with his 'sword of light', (who may just have brought Tormund back to life)!!
Bran Stark and Samwell Tarly are still hanging out, clearly figuring out how they are going to let Jon and Dany know they're related! Awkward.
Over to Kings Landing, we come across a smug and 'pregnant' (the jury is still out on this one) Cersei, who is being encouraged by Maester Qyburn that she is finally where she belongs. "Everything you did brought you where you are now. Where you belong!"
Special mention. The Mountain.
And then we see Jon Snow (Or Aegon Targaryen) and Daenerys Targaryen, finally entering Winterfell surrounded by the army of Unsullied, with dragons flying overhead, while the brooding voice of Jon Snow says, "They're coming. Our enemy doesn't tire. Doesn't stop. Doesn't feel."
OMG. Of course, he's referring to the White Walkers heralded by the Night King with an Ice Dragon NOW under his command.
Sansa Stark dramatically looks up at the massive dragons as her brother returns home to Winterfell, with a new girlfriend?
And what of the other Lannisters?
Sir Jaime has now left his pregnant twin sister's (and lover's) side and has joined the fight against the White Walkers, saying. "I promised to fight for the living... I intend to keep that promise.'
We get a great aerial shot of the two remaining dragons Drogon and Rhaegal flying over Winterfell.
And then Dany and Jon are hanging out in the crypts of Winterfell, paying homage, (we assume) to Ned Stark.
We get our first glimpse of Gendry, (Robert Baratheon's bastard son) since we last saw him rowing away from the Red Woman in season 3...
Missandei and Grey Worm share a passionate kiss before he heads off to lead the Unsullied into battle.
And then the trailer goes into a hurried montage with cryptic flashes of all the main characters... including a glimpse of The Hound, Sir Jorah Mormont... Jon and Dany heading towards to the two dragons... to RIDE THEM... AND we finally see our beloved Imp, the concerned Tyrion Lannister, looking heavenwards.
The trailer ends with some undead horse hooves coming into frame... Eek!!
Did we miss anything?
Game of Thrones Season 8 drops April 14 on HBO.
