Holy Hollywood remake, Batman!
DC Comic fans are getting another version of the Caped Crusader, this time from director Matt Reeves.
We already know that Twilight's Robert Pattinson is locked in to play Batman, and it has now been revealed that Zoë Kravitz, has been cast as Catwoman, being the fifth actress to portray the feline cat burglar.
YES!! The Big Little Lies star will make an excellent femme fatale, with rumours that Jonah Hill will play the villain, and Jeffrey Wright will cameo as Commissioner Gordon.
In an interview in the Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, director Matt Reeves opened up about his take on Batman's story...
"It's very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He's supposed to be the world's greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it's going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation."
No further details about The Batman have been revealed but we do know it is expected to swoop into theatres June 25th 2021.
