The Dockers have not ruled out surgery on skipper Nat Fyfe's injured shoulder.
Fremantle are set to consult surgeons to see whether Fyfe can continue to play after his dislocated shoulder popped back in.
Fyfe is likely to miss Saturday's clash against the Gold Coast Suns.
Coach Justin Longmuir speaking on 7 News said the club was unsure of the timeframe.
We are holding out hope that it is something he can play with for the rest of the year but we will have to get a surgical opinion before we go there,” Longmuir said.
"We are hoping at this stage that he is able to play with it for the rest of the year. One thing I know about Fyfey is that he is a tough competitor. He will want to be out there with the boys as quick as he can.”
Rory Lobb and Alex Pearce have been cleared while Sean Darcy and Mitch Crowden have not yet been ruled out of playing this weekend.
