Eagles keep the top two dream alive

The Eagles have setup a top four showdown with the Tigers after holding off a persistent Adelaide Crows by 10-points.

West Coast will take on the Tigers at the MCG next Sunday following the 13.12.90 to 12.8.80 triumph.

Jack Darling, Oscar Allen and Jake Waterman all booted three goals each.

Elliott Yeo was best on ground for the Eagles after a stunning 25-possession game.

Coach Adam Simpson knew exactly the challenge that the Crows posed to his side.

“Scare I suppose is not probably the right word is it, I mean they were playing for a spot in the finals. So we knew exactly what was coming,” Simpson said.

“They played with tremendous spirit and threw the absolute kitchen sink at us. So we’re really pleased we got away with a win.”

The Cats (134.3%), Lions (121.8%) and Eagles (117.0%) are all on 60-points with just percentage separating them.

Richmond are a game behind on 56-points with the Cats and Lions also to meet each other next weekend.
