Gaff cleared to play AFLX

Eagles midfielder Andrew Gaff is set to play AFLX after being cleared to play in the one night only event.

Gaff who is currently suspended for striking the Dockers Andrew Brayshaw is unable to play until round three of the season but the AFL has given the green light for his appearance.

It's unclear however if Gaff has nominated for the AFLX draft to be held on Wednesday.

An AFL spokesperson said “A player is permitted to play in the JLT Community Series and AFLX Tournament, but any reportable offence from a JLT Community Series or AFLX match that results in a suspension would also be served in the home-and-away season.”

Gaff is also likely to play in the clubs first pre-season match against the Cats at Leederville Oval on March 1.
