Perth Glory have extended their top of the table lead after a 3-1 victory over Sydney FC.
A first half brace from Joel Chianese set the platform for the home side and a goal from his first start from Brendon Santalab was the icing on the game for the home side.
Sydney found a way past Liam Reddy 20-minutes in the second half but wasn't enough to spark a revival.
Glory coach Tony Popovic said his side had great intensity and played great football.
That first half was a very confident and dominant display against a strong team. We’re working towards being a team like Sydney, one that knows each other’s movements with and without the ball.” Popovic said.
The lead is now six-points for the Glory at the top of the A-League table and a clash with Western Sydney at home on Sunday is the next challenge.
