Tributes are flowing for WA football icon Graham "Polly" Farmer who has passed away at the age of 84.
Farmer will go down as one of the greatest players to ever take the field in VFL/AFL history and revolutionised the game.
Fellow WA hall-of-famer Barry Cable on Macquarie Radio told listeners "he was a wonderful player."
“He never, ever used that as an excuse as to why he couldn’t get on with the game and of course he went to Geelong and became a great player in the VFL at that time and he was acknowledged for that,” Cable said.
Farmer played 356 games for East Perth, Geelong and West Perth in a career spanning 18-years.
He passed away at Fiona Stanley Hospital surrounded by his family.
