Mariners back to the drawing board

Rockingham-Mandurah are winless after the opening fortnight of WA Premier Cricket.

The Mariners were defeated in the season opener by 48-runs runs away from home to Fremantle before returning back home for round two action against Bayswater-Morley.

Rockingham-Mandurah were sent in by the Bears and were in early strife at 4/33.

A middle order stand from Damian Burrage (86) and Nathan Hutchinson (28) boosted the final total to 207.

The Mariners need to rip through the Bears top order to be a chance, and they picked up two wickets before the score reached 58.

From that point it was a tough ask as the home side failed to pick up another wicket and Bayswater-Morley strolling to victory with over three overs to spare.
