Scorchers just short of Thunder

The Perth Scorchers Big Bash campaign continues to struggle falling just one run short of defeating the Sydney Thunder.

The Thunder put 6/142 on the board, Jos Buttler scoring 55 and with the ball Ashton Agar claimed two wickets.

Perth finished up 5/141 and have just one win from four matches but the silver lining is the Scorchers have six home games remaining in the season.

Skipper Ashton Turner hit an unbeaten 60 from 36 balls to get his side to needing just three runs off the final ball of the match.

He slapped it down to mid on and was only able to produce two with Will Bosisto running furiously at the other end.
