The Perth Scorchers have notched up their second win of the Big Bash season claiming a six-wicket win over the Melbourne Stars.
Perth won the toss and sent the home side into bat and four wickets from AJ Tye restricted the home side to 146.
Cameron Bancroft (59) and skipper Ashton Turner (43 not out) were instrumental in the Scorchers chasing the target down in the 18th over.
Turner struck two fours and three sixes to lead from the front.
Bancroft said the win is a great confidence booster for the side.
“It was good to go out and get the guys off to a really good start and more importantly for us, the team got a win and that is something we desperately needed,” Bancroft said.
Perth now return home to host the Sydney Sixers on Sunday.
