West Coast knocked out of finals

The Eagles season is over after a 20-point loss to the Cats at the MCG on Friday night.

Geelong broke the game open early with the first three goals of the game to the end be the difference in the 13.10.88 to 10.8.68 victory.

Eagles defender Jeremy McGovern had an off night while Andrew Gaff, Shannon Hurn, Jack Darling and Nic Naitanui were good in patches.

Darling booted three goals in the losing performance while Gaff was the only other Eagles player on the ground with multiple majors.

The Cats most into a preliminary final and will face Richmond next Friday night at the MCG.
