Wildcats secure another finals berth

The Perth Wildcats have secured their 35th straight finals appearance after a 89-78 win over Cairns.

Bryce Cotton led on the scoreboard with 24-points while John Mooney and Todd Blanchfield contributed with 11-points each.

Perth now have a 22-8 win-loss record and have secured their position with still six regular season matches remaining.

Coach Trevor Gleeson said he is proud of his teams effort.

"I am really happy to be able to tick that box and be in the playoffs for another year.

"If you look at our group I think we have one starter from last year in Bryce, I think we have lost everyone else.

"It is a totally new group. The guys have really done a good job buying in, hopefully we can keep on improving."
