The next time you're enjoying a delightful brunch, raise a mimosa to Guy Beringer, and his inspiration for the mixed meal which was first proposed in 1985 via his essay, Brunch: A Plea'. Guy urged that a lighter meal between breakfast and lunch to soothe hangover ailments, was a better way to start the day.
We have a contender though... surely The Hobbits invented Brunch? LOL
