A new ride-sharing service has launched in Perth.

Chinese owned company, DiDi, entered the Australian market in late June 2018 and has since expanded to Western Australia, claiming to be 10 per cent cheaper than its competitors.

The ride-share service covers the entire Perth metro area, extending north to Two Rocks, east to Mundaring and south to Mandurah and Coolup.

Riders who sign up before close of business today will receive 50 per cent off all rides for the first four weeks, up to the value of $15 per ride, while riders who sign up during the first two weeks of the launch will receive 50 per cent off their first 10 rides up to the value of $15 each.
