Sad news for the music world, with the passing of Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler.
Her family released a statement to socials saying they were “heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.”
She was 75.
With that instantly recognisable raspy voice, Bonnie gave us timeless hits like It's a Heartache, and the epic power ballads Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero and - songs that became the soundtrack to a generation and are still sung at the top of our lungs today.
