Sad news for the music world, with the passing of Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler.
Her family released a statement to socials saying they were “heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.” She was 75.
With that instantly recognisable raspy voice, Bonnie gave us timeless hits like It's a Heartache, and the epic power ballads Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero and - songs that became the soundtrack to a generation and are still sung at the top of our lungs today.
Bonnie remained passionate about performing throughout her career, leaving behind an incredible musical legacy. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and fans around the world.

The FIFA World Cup Final is getting the Super Bowl treatment!
Justin Bieber has been confirmed to perform at the first-ever World Cup halftime show on July 19 in New Jersey, joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS. The 11-minute performance will be curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin and will help raise funds to improve children's access to education through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
