The Commonwealth Games has wrapped up in Glasgow overnight – and Australia has finished on top of the medal tally with a remarkable 171 medals, including 70 gold. It was a Games full of standout moments, from our dominance in the pool to a record-breaking athletics campaign. 

England earnt second place with 110 medals in total, and Canada came in third place with 62 medals. 


To kick off the closing ceremony, Australia’s Delta Goodrem performed Born to Try as athletes entered the arena in Glasgow, and
then she called up Scottish artist Cammy Barnes for our unofficial national anthem – John Farnham’s The Voice.


The Commonwealth Games baton was officially passed to Ahmedabad India, who will host the 2030 Games.  
And then Scottish Band Simple Minds closed the games with their 80s classic, Don't You Forget About Me, in a shower of white confetti.


Warner Bros has just a few months to lock in a sequel to Barbie before the rights return to Mattel in December.

The studio is still negotiating deals with Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling and director Greta Gerwig.

Gerwig reportedly has an idea for the next film, but she's keeping it under wraps until the contracts are done.


And Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård star in the twisted rom-com Wicker.

After being shunned by her community, a lonely fisherwoman has a husband woven from wicker. When he mysteriously comes to life, the once-peaceful village is thrown into turmoil.

Also starring Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Dubicki, Wicker is in cinemas November 26.
