"He loved what he did and did what he loved, and no-one can never ask for more than that."
Sad news with the passing of Hollywood Legend – Donald Sutherland.
The Canadian-born actor passed away at the age of 88 after suffering a long illness.
He had over 200 movie credits to his name and has graced our screens for over six decades – he began his career as a news reporter in the '60s before heading to London to study acting. He rose to fame after starring in films such as The Dirty Dozen, Kelly’s Heroes, & M*A*S*H as the original Hawk Eye.
He went on to play diverse roles across his career, from a sweet loving father in Pride and Prejudice, as Mr X a mysterious informant in JFK alongside Kevin Costner, and the power-hungry President Snow in The Hunger Games trilogy.
His son, Keifer Sutherland, paid tribute to his father in a moving post to socials, saying, “With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away, “I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and no-one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.”
