'Centimetre perfect'.
Legendary AFL commentator Dennis Cometti was honoured on Monday at a State Memorial Service in Perth at the Riverview Rooms at Optus Stadium, the ground where he called his last game of football.
Family, friends, and some of Australia’s biggest sporting and media names gathered to celebrate his life and extraordinary career.
Cometti, who passed away in March aged 76, was remembered as the “voice of football,” known for his wit, warmth, and iconic commentary. Tributes described him as a true WA legend who brought the game - and generations of fans - to life.
