Tom Cruise & Anne Hathaway announce 'Days of Thunder' sequel

Get ready to hear the roar of those engines again... Days of Thunder is coming back!

Tom Cruise is returning as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle for a sequel to the 1990 racing classic, and this time he’ll be joined by Anne Hathaway .

She’ll play a race team owner and engineer, although plot details are still being kept under wraps.

The sequel is being directed by Jonathan Levine , and Paramount has set a theatrical release for June 2nd, 2028.

It’ll also be shot for IMAX so expect plenty of speed, noise and Tom Cruise doing his own thing at ridiculous speeds!
