The City of Rockingham is set to host an enchanting musical theatre performance of The Wizard of Oz.
The free outdoor performance event runs from 5.30pm – 8pm on Saturday, March 27 at the Village Green and is part of the City’s Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events.
Visitors will be entertained by roving characters and pre-show stage performers before The Wizard of Oz performance begins at 6.30pm.
Following the show, there will be photo-opportunities with members of the cast.
Food and drink will also be available for purchase from the various food vans on-site.
“The story of The Wizard of Oz is a classic fairy tale that has thrilled families for many years and the City is delighted to offer residents the opportunity to enjoy it on the Village Green,” City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said.
“The City encourages anyone who is a fan of The Wizard of Oz or other classic fairy tales to bring something comfortable to sit on and enjoy an enchanting evening to remember.”
The performance will be suitable for people of all ages.
Parking will be available behind the Gary Holland Community Centre and the Rockingham Museum.
In line with State Government’s mandatory contact tracing requirements, visitors will be required to check-in at the event using the SafeWA app or via the manual sign-in sheet. Hand sanitiser will also be available.
