People experiencing homelessness in the Rockingham area can now access more support from today.
The daytime case management services, delivered by local service provider The Crew, will offer a range of tailored supports for those in need including pathways to housing and assistance with legal paperwork.
The initiative forms part of the State Government's $2.6 million investment to establish and operate the Rockingham Safe Night Space which is scheduled to open in January 2027, subject to approvals.
The Safe Night Space will provide overnight shelter for up to 30 people experiencing homelessness per night.
"The Crew is a highly respected service provider with extensive experience supporting Rockingham's most vulnerable people," Homelessness Minister Matthew Swinbourn said.
"People experiencing homelessness deserve trauma-informed, local responses that are tailored to their needs, and that is exactly what these case management services will offer to people sleeping rough in the Rockingham area.
"The Cook Labor Government remains committed to investing in practical, place-based responses to homelessness, and we will continue to work with service providers across the State to ensure Western Australians doing it tough are connected to the supports they need."
