Two dogs have been euthanised after they attacked a nine-year-old boy in Baldivis.
The boy was playing in an alleyway behind his home on Saturday afternoon when he was mauled by two Bull Arab Staffy crosses that live down the road.
He suffered serious injuries to his face and arm which required surgery at Perth Children's Hospital.
The dogs' owner told Nine News she had accidentally left the garage door open and they escaped.
She said she was remorseful and made the decision to put her dogs down.
The City of Rockingham is investigating.
