A 33-year-old Halls Head man who allegedly worked with children without holding a valid Working with Children Check has been charged with a series of historic child sex offences.
The man, who was 18 at the time, allegedly sexually assaulted two children known to him in 2010 and 2011.
Further inquiries by Mandurah Detectives found the man had allegedly been working as a self‑employed support worker, contracted directly by NDIS‑funded families.
He previously held a valid Working with Children Check, which expired in July 2024.
The man is accused of continuing to work with children during January and February 2026, despite him no longer holding a valid authorisation.
He has been charged with nine counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13, eight counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13, four counts of procuring, encouraging or inciting a child under 13 to do an indecent act and 10 counts of working with children without a current assessment notice.
The Halls Head man is due to appear in court at a later date.
