The K9 Rescue Group has received a much needed cash boost.

Member for Murray-Wellington Robyn Clarke MLA presented the rescue with a $180,000 Lotterywest grant which will go towards their new dog kennels.

K9 Rescue are a not-for-profit organisation established in 1990 who care for and re-home abandoned dogs.

They provide a regional service in Western Australia to the Peel, Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas.

“This Lotterywest grant is an amazing boost for K9 Rescue," Ms Clarke said.

“K9 Rescue do an amazing job at rehoming dogs in the Peel region and as a dog lover myself, it’s great to see this group receive the funds towards a much needed project.”

The Lotterywest grant builds upon the $10,000 delivered to the centre as part of Robyn Clarke’s re-election commitment and a $30,000 funding boost by the McGowan Government in October.
