Eight new social housing apartments in Falcon are now complete.
Constructed by Dale Alcock Homes, the two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments are spread across three buildings within the Falcon Village Precinct.
Funded by the State Government in partnership with Housing Choices WA, the $3.49 million units will provide affordable housing primarily for older women, seniors and people experiencing housing insecurity.
They are located close to supermarkets, specialty stores, food outlets and medical facilities along with public transport.
The apartments will be managed by Housing Choices WA, a community housing provider that manages more than 1850 properties across Western Australia.
Housing Choices Australia CEO Leilani Frew said the project responds to increasing demand for safe and affordable housing.
“The completion of these homes is an important step in increasing the supply of affordable housing and ensuring more people have access to secure, high-quality homes close to services and support," Ms Frew said.
“We know demand for affordable and social housing continues to grow across Western Australia, with many people struggling to find homes that are both affordable and appropriate to their needs.
“These homes have been thoughtfully designed to support long-term liveability, accessibility and connection to community."
