Someone could make lotto history if they win the entire $110 million jackpot.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney advised people to get in early for the 6pm Powerball draw.
“If a WA winner takes out tonight’s $110 million jackpot, it will set a new national record,” Mr Mooney said.
“Our advice is get in early as we anticipate between 4-5pm to be incredibly busy, peaking at more than 1100 tickets to be sold a minute."
If WA produces one ($110 million) or one of two ($55 million) winners in Thursday’s $110 million Powerball it would be a record for the state.
The biggest win in WA Lotto history was when a Perth family took out the entire $50 million on Powerball in July 2015.
The Australian record for an individual winner is $107 million in January this year. It was won on Powerball by a Sydney woman.
The Top 10 suburbs and towns for lotto wins in WA are: Perth, Morley, Cloverdale, Mandurah, Bunbury, Midland, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Rockingham and Albany.
