Today, we’re celebrating midwives - the incredible people who help bring babies into the world and care for mums and families every step of the way.

From the very first check-up… to the moment a baby is born… and even after bringing them home, midwives are there to guide, support, and make sure everyone is safe and well.

This year’s International Day of the Midwife theme is “One Million More Midwives.”

And it’s an important one, because around the world, we don’t have enough midwives to care for every mum and baby who needs them.

Midwives don’t just deliver babies... they answer questions, calm nerves, share knowledge, and stand beside families during one of the biggest moments of their lives.

When we have more midwives, families are healthier, babies are safer, and communities are stronger.

So today, we say a big thank you - to every midwife, everywhere.
