The king of hearts is the only one without a moustache.
There are reports it was lost in the reproduction of the original design. Apparently, a similar mistake caused his axe to become a sword.
But other reports cite that they were inspired by famous French Kings.
The modern-day deck of cards sees the King of Hearts without a mo.
