Dolly Parton has been laid to rest in a small, private funeral service in Nashville, surrounded by family.
The country legend had specifically requested a private farewell, rather than a huge celebrity ceremony. She was buried beside her husband Carl Dean, who died last year. And in a particularly touching detail, Dolly had chosen the gospel song If We Never Meet Again to be played at her funeral... a song about the hope of being reunited with loved ones.
A very Dolly farewell: private, heartfelt, and full of faith.
Olivia Rodrigo has just pulled off quite the girl-power moment at her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival in California, and she brought some absolute legends along for the ride.
Stevie Nicks joined Olivia for Landslide.
Alanis Morissette came out for Ironic.
And Sarah McLachlan joined her for Building a Mystery and Angel, which they dedicated to the late Dolly Parton.
The women’s music festival also raised 20 million dollars for organisations supporting women and girls.
Dolly would have been proud.
Get ready to hear the roar of those engines again because Days of Thunder is coming back!
Tom Cruise is returning as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle for a sequel to the 1990 racing classic, and this time he’ll be joined by Anne Hathaway.
She’ll play a race team owner and engineer, although plot details are still being kept under wraps.
The sequel is being directed by Jonathan Levine, and Paramount has set a theatrical release for June 2nd, 2028.
It’ll also be shot for IMAX... so expect plenty of speed, noise and Tom Cruise doing his own thing at ridiculous speeds!
