The Emmys have wrapped up for another year, and there were some BIG wins and a few pretty lovely moments overnight… hosted by Mariska Hargitay.
The Pitt has done it again, taking out Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row, with Noah Wyle also winning Lead Actor... so clearly, the doctors are still running the hospital… and the Emmys!
Over in comedy, Widow’s Bay was the big winner, taking Outstanding Comedy Series and making history with a whopping 14 Emmy wins overall.
Matthew Rhys had an especially huge night winning Lead Actor in a Comedy for Widow’s Bay and Lead Actor in a Limited Series for The Beast in Me.
Jean Smart picked up another Emmy for Hacks,,, her fifth consecutive win in the category.
And Rhea Seehorn finally got her moment, winning Lead Actress in a Drama for Pluribus, beating a seriously strong field including our own Sarah Snook, and Zendaya.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert also had an emotional win for Variety Series… just months after the show ended.
Reba McIntyre and more paid tribute to Dolly Parton.
And Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson plugged their new show Brothers.
But it was Taylor Swift who managed to steal the Emmys spotlight… without even being there!
She made a surprise appearance in a pre-recorded Law & Order: SVU sketch with Mariska Hargitay... and, of course, dropped some very cryptic clues for Swifties to decode. And while Taylor was appearing on the Emmys, she was actually across the country supporting her husband Travis Kelce at the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener.
So… technically, she was at the Emmys, but wasn't... or was she?!
