Mandurah is home to some of Western Australia’s most iconic and rare wildlife.

Visit Mandurah Museum to discover a remarkable collection of taxidermy specimens on loan from the Western Australian Museum. These significant animals include the western ringtail possum, quenda, chuditch, and phascogales—species that play a vital role in our natural environment.

Learn how to identify these fascinating creatures, where they can be found, what’s being done to protect them, and how you can help preserve their habitats.

Enjoy a stunning photographic slideshow of Mandurah’s birdlife by local photographers Jo McVey and Ralph Williams, who capture the beauty of birds such as the osprey, egret, pelican, and the charming fairy-wren.

Discover the important work of the Western Australian Seabird Rescue Group, who care for injured and orphaned seabirds and waterbirds. The display includes items seabirds have become entangled in and photos documenting their rescue and release journeys.

Don’t miss the creative contributions of RT Kids, an after-school art class, whose artwork reflects their thoughts and feelings about our natural environment.

This is a special opportunity to celebrate and learn more about Mandurah’s unique wildlife and the efforts to protect it.
