At the April 26 General Meeting at the Rockingham Museum, we are honoured to welcome local historian and ANZAC of the year, Robert Mitchell CD (Col. Canadian Army retd.), as our guest speaker. Awarded for his services to various historical societies and committees, Robert will present on 'Defending Australia, Perceptions of the “Front Line”'. His talk will explore the evolving views of Australia's "front line" during peace and war, especially relevant in today's uncertain international climate. As a past curator of the Australian Army Museum of WA, Robert's extensive knowledge of military history and Australia's role in world wars will be showcased in his presentation.
Talk followed by afternoon tea.
