Horses Helping Humans program, which is proudly supported by Telethon 7 and the Off the Track Community Fund. This program is delivered from our Darling Downs Equine Activities and Therapy Centre and provides life-changing opportunities for sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged young people aged 7–17 and 18–24 living in the Peel region.

About the Horses Helping Humans Program:
Horses Helping Humans is an equine-assisted learning program that helps young people build resilience, confidence, and emotional regulation through hands-on activities with horses. Using trauma-informed practice, participants learn communication skills, boundary setting, self-awareness, and teamwork by interpreting horse behaviour and practicing calm, assertive leadership. The program creates a safe, supportive environment where young people can strengthen social skills, reduce anxiety, and develop practical life skills that carry over into school, relationships, and future employment.
