A young dolphin calf Luca died in August 2019 from injuries sustained from fishing line entanglement. The clean up event is held each year in conjunction with River Guardians (Perth based) and other community groups, in memory of Luca. There is a clean up first, and then the Lions Club provide a sausage sizzle afterwards.
