Music Under the Bridge

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music by the water – Music Under the Bridge is back in 2025!

This year, the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) will take centre stage, presenting a dynamic program of jazz classics and original compositions. Expect a night of incredible musicality, rhythm, and expression that will have you tapping your toes under the stars.

Since 1983, WAYJO has been nurturing Australia’s finest young jazz musicians, offering pathways from student to professional performer. With alumni now performing on stages around the world, their concerts are a showcase of exceptional emerging talent not to be missed.

What to bring
Bring along picnic chairs or a blanket and settle in for the evening. Pack a picnic dinner or enjoy delicious bites from onsite food trucks. Don’t forget bottled water, a jacket for the estuary breeze, and mosquito repellent.

What not to bring
This is an alcohol and smoke-free event, and pets are not permitted on site.

When to arrive
The event site opens on the Western Foreshore from 4 PM, with the concert starting at 6:30 PM sharp. Capacity is limited, so arrive early to secure your spot. If the immediate area fills up, you can still enjoy the music from the Eastern Foreshore (wind direction permitting).
