The Lab Network are now offering weekly online sessions for young people on the spectrum in Western Australia!

The Lab Network is a not-for-profit that provides mentoring by technology professionals in areas such as gaming, programming, IT, 3D and digital design for social and technical skill development in young people with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

From Perth to regional areas like Rockingham, Mandurah, Busselton, Margaret River, Geraldton and beyond, participants are invited to explore tech and gaming, make new friends and, most importantly, feel supported and safe in social environments.

The Lab Online will offers weekly sessions, where tech-savvy mentors will help young people with autism to explore their interests, connect with others and develop technical skills in areas such as coding, social gaming, digital design and video production!

The Lab Network supports community organisers – such as parents, carers, community members and disability service providers – with tools, resources and support to establish and operate new community-based Labs.

Each weekly session is two-hours, and two or more computer programmers and designers work individually with between 10 and 15 young people to develop their social and technology skills.
