A 19-year-old man was shot in Byford overnight.
Local police and officers from the Gang Crime Squad are investigating.
Around 10pm last night police were called to a house in Plaistowe Boulevard in relation to several shots being fired.
A group of people were outside a residence when its believed a vehicle drove past them, and an occupant of the car fired a weapon several times.
One of the shots hit a 19-year-old man in the leg.
Police attended the scene and the man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.
He has since left the hospital at his own risk.
