Tributes are flowing for a young police officer who died after he was allegedly run over by a suspected stolen car in Ascot last week.
Anthony Woods, 28, suffered critical injuries in the early hours of Thursday morning after he was allegedly dragged and pinned underneath the car while trying to apprehend the driver.
His family made the decision to switch off his life support on Sunday, nearly four days after being rushed to hospital.
"We are shattered to lose our dear Anthony. He was a devoted husband and loving son, brother, and uncle who was taken from this earth far too soon," a family statement read.
"Anthony will be remembered as a funny, hard-working man who loved the West Coast Eagles and mucking around with his mates. He brought light and laughter to every situation, and his wicked sense of humour is irreplaceable.
"Our pain at this time is indescribable, and we take comfort in the outpouring of love from the community.
"We ask that you keep Anthony's memory alive by telling stories of all of your good times with him. Thank you."

The 23-year-old man accused of being behind the wheel of the car, Reagan Ainsley Chown, was charged on Friday with a string of driving and drug offences.
On Monday, Police Commissioner Col Blanch confirmed one of his charges will be upgraded to murder.
