The family of a woman who was the victim of an alleged hit-and-run in Greenfields are hoping she'll be home for Christmas.
Sherylee Bonney was allegedly hit by a car on a bush track near her home on September 20.
The driver allegedly fled and the mother-of-five was left for dead.
She suffered a brain injury and has remained in hospital ever since the incident.
Speaking on Nine News, her mother Ruth Bonney said she may never walk again.
"We don't know the extent of the damage or the injuries to her until all the swelling goes down...she's really determined to beat this," she said.
Brayden Bradshaw has been charged over the alleged hit-and-run.
He's accused of dumping his car in Bibra Lake before returning to the scene with his young son and calling police, pretending to be a good Samaritan.
Mr Bradshaw is next due to appear in court on December 20.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support Ms Bonney's long road of rehabilitation.
