Regional Investigations Unit Detectives are appealing for information in relation to an attempted armed robbery that occurred in Wattleup on Monday.
At around 2:50pm a man entered a retail store on the corner of Wattleup Road and Rockingham Road.
He produced a firearm and demanded cash from a staff member.
Empty handed, the man ran from the store in a westerly direction, across the southbound lane of Rockingham Road and entered a vehicle parked in the northbound lane.
Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage of the offender running across Rockingham Road and of any parked vehicles near the offence location.
