A 54-year-old Calista man who allegedly sexually assaulted a child and recorded it has been charged with further offences.
The man was initially charged in January after detectives searched his Calista home over historic child abuse allegations.
Police allegedly seized several electronic items and storage devices containing a number of images and recordings of child sexual offences
He was charged with a string of offences including one count of sexually penetrating a child under 13 and indecently recording a child under 13.
It's further alleged at the time of the man's arrest he was in possession of other electronic devices.
Upon forensic analysis, more images of young females and child exploitation material were allegedly found.
He has since been charged with a further four offences.
The man who is currently in prison is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
