A 58-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly sent a threatening letter and white powder to Premier Mark McGowan's electoral office in Rockingham.
The suspicious package was found around 12.05pm on February 8.
Further testing of the substance determined it was not hazardous.
The Melville man has been charged with statements or acts creating false apprehension as to the existence of threats or danger.
He has been bailed to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court on April 7.
In a separate incident, a 52-year-old man has also been charged after allegedly making threats to the Premier and his wife both online and via telephone during the evening of February 28.
On March 15, detectives from the State Security Investigation Group executed a search warrant at the man’s home where several items were seized.
The Mahomets Flats man has been charged with making a threat to unlawfully do an act, possessing a prohibited drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.
He appeared before the Geraldton Magistrates Court on March 24.
