A 35-year-old man has been charged over the death of another man in Dawesville.
The 45-year-old victim was found unresponsive near Ampol service station on Bailey Boulevard about 3.40am on Friday.
He was rushed to Peel Health Campus by ambulance where he later died.
"It will be alleged, the accused and the victim – who are known to each other – were involved in a physical altercation prior to the man’s death," a WA Police spokesperson said.
A Wellard man has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
The investigation is continuing.
