A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support the family of a 26-year-old Collie woman who tragically died after being hit by a car on the Kwinana Freeway in Stake Hill.
Ebony Storm-Somerville and her friend were on their way to Perth on Thursday night when they ran out of petrol on the freeway near Mandjoogoordap Drive.
The pair tried to wave down passing cars for help before Ebony was struck by a red Mitsubishi Outlander.
She suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
A GoFundMe page has since been created to help Ebony's family pay for funeral costs.
"Ebony had a warmth that touched you, a smile that could light the darkest day," GoFundMe organiser Storm McLarty wrote.
"People felt good in her company and she naturally stole your heart, young or old, any gender, any race, you could not avoid being drawn by her magnetic energy."
Major crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, the red Mitsubishi Outlander or the female pedestrian in the area before the crash.
