A crowd funding page has raised over $20,000 after a grandmother and her two-year-old grandson were killed in a crash near Bunbury.
Zeak Boxall and his 57-year-old grandmother Denise Pelusey died when the Ford Territory they were travelling in along the South Western Highway in North Boyanup collided with a Nissan X-Trail and a Mazda 6 on Sunday, November 15.
Denise's daughter Brogan and her three children aged between three and 12 were also in the car, but luckily survived.
"This beautiful South West family are valued and loved community members. They have difficult days, weeks and months ahead," GoFundMe organiser Lisa O’Donoghue wrote.
"Patriarch Kim Pelusey has lost his soul mate and wife of 38 years in Denise. Together Kim and Denise have five wonderful children, Caris, Taelor, Brogan, Makenzie and Braxton. They also have four grandchildren, including precious Zeak.
"The tragic car accident happened in North Boyanup and left Denise’s daughter Brogan and her three young children with serious injuries and trauma. Brogan’s husband Andrew is off work to be by the side of their youngest son while he recovers from emergency surgery in Perth while Brogan and the older children recover in Bunbury.
"Young couple Makenzie and Josh have suffered the incomprehensible loss of both their beloved only child Zeak and Makenzie’s Mum. They will need the love and support of friends and family to survive this unthinkable tragedy."
The money raised via the GoFundMe page will cover memorial expenses and ongoing medical costs for other family members injured in the crash.
